To my Republican senators, what happened to America First? Trump's Argentina bailout shows, once again, that the Republican party does not put Americans first. The Republican party puts Americans last. We are in the middle of a government shutdown. The Republicans control the 3 branches of government and yet you all are unable to do your jobs, to govern effectively, and work across the aisles to open the government. The government is literally paralyzed because of the Republicans and the American people are negatively feeling the effects of the shutdown. Our pocketbooks are reeling and prices are rising. Trump is not ushering in his so-called "golden age for American families". 10 months into Trump's presidency and we are still waiting for that golden age to arrive. Trump's policies have actively made our lives worse. So what does Trump do? Moves forward with a $20 billion bailout for Argentina. Trump is sending billions of US dollars abroad while Americans are suffering at home. And Trump knows that he isn't helping Americans and all he is doing is propping up a political ally. Once again, Trump had another hollow campaign slogan. At home he's dismantling government programs that working families rely on and abroad he's using our taxpayer dollars on a risky bailout of a foreign government because they share his conservative politics. Americans deserve better. The Republican party does not care about the American people or our country. This will be your legacy. So, my Republican senators, what more will it take for you all to actually put Americans first? What more will it take for you to stop being cowards and to stand up to this unhinged, unfit, physically unwell dictator in the making? You all are despicable. Clearly your oaths to the Constitution don't matter.
