Musk, who as an unelected, illegally appointed member of Trump’s administration destroyed USAID, has been trying to justify his actions by claiming that no one could name someone who died because of him. People have been quick to provide him with the names and circumstances of people who have died because USAID stopped doing the work they were doing. Most of them were children. You can reverse this. The action was illegal from the start, as Congress controls purse strings, not Musk. Stop the deaths and restore USAID. If not because you care about starving children (if you did you would have been against this from the start), then because it has diminished the US’s standing and soft power across the globe. We need all the help we can get since Trump is starting and losing wars and making everything more expensive.
