Support the H.E.M.P. Act: Create Clear Federal Standards for Hemp Products
I urge you to support the H.E.M.P. Act and help establish a clear, science-based federal framework for hemp-derived cannabinoid products.
The hemp industry, consumers, farmers, and retailers all benefit from clear, consistent rules. Today, uncertainty surrounding federal oversight has created confusion for businesses, consumers, and law enforcement alike. The H.E.M.P. Act would provide a pathway for appropriate federal regulation while distinguishing lawful hemp-derived products from unsafe or illicit synthetic cannabinoids.
Consumers deserve products that are accurately labeled, independently tested, and manufactured according to consistent safety standards. Responsible businesses deserve a predictable regulatory environment that rewards compliance instead of leaving them vulnerable to changing interpretations of the law. Farmers who legally grow hemp deserve certainty that allows them to continue investing in this important agricultural crop.
Strong federal standards should complement—not replace—effective state regulations. A balanced approach can protect public health, keep hemp products out of the hands of minors, promote product transparency, and support innovation in American agriculture.
Please support the H.E.M.P. Act and work toward a regulatory system that prioritizes consumer safety, scientific evidence, responsible enforcement, and long-term certainty for the hemp industry.
