To the Supreme Court, let transgender people receive gender affirming care.

I am a transgender, transfeminine constituent from Ohio. Gender affirming care has saved my humanity, and allowed me to live authentically as who I am rather than be locked in a male body and male identity. It has allowed me to breathe easier. I've struggled with gender dysphoria, and I knew for the longest time I never wanted to live life as a man.
The upcoming Skrimetti case will be life or death for me, an adult, along with millions of others who comprise the 1% population of Americans who share my struggles.
Donald Trump and the Republican Party is enacting a crusade against transgender people, especially targeting the healthcare of youth, and attempting to barrier access for adults. Some extremist politicians in Texas want to outright ban it and make it "fraud" (though it will not likely pass, it is still frightening).
As you rule at the end of June, you are the judges of what will happen to us. I will be empty and lost without this access, and my dignity as an adult, taxpaying citizen will be as well if your ruling will allow Trump to crush us.
Medical matters should be kept between guardians/adults and their providers, not in the hands of politicians. It is un-American, unconscionable to let the government have free reign over the medical matters of constituents.
As a citizen who will be impacted by this ruling, bodily autonomy is a pillar of American freedom. Let us keep it.
