Once again, Trump is trying to rewrite history with his accounts what happened on January 6, 2021. We all witnessed in real time what happened on January 6. Trump incited an insurrection. He, of course, called it a "day of love". It was not a day of love. It was an attempt by the sitting president to nullify millions of votes and subvert the will of the American people. But that insurrection failed because of the courage of the true patriots in our country, the public servants who refused to be intimidated and threatened by Trump and his thugs. But here's the thing. Facts are powerful. Proof is powerful. And if the facts and proof weren't so damaging, Trump wouldn't continue, 5 years later, to still be rewriting that horrific day. My Republican senators, you are NOT true patriots. You continue, to this day, to allow Trump to threaten and intimidate you. You are cowards. And now with every other damaging thing Trump has done over the last year, we the people refuse to be threatened or intimidated by this demented old man. Trump is weak. He is small. He is feeble. You may be his sycophants, but the majority of Americans are not. We will continue to fight for our country, our rights, our Constitution. We the people don't have Congress on our side. We don't have SCOTUS on our side, but we have the majority. And for all of Trump's talk of canceling upcoming elections and taking over countries, for all his grifting and corruption, you may be spineless but we aren't. We will vote every single one of you out of office when the time comes. Look at Trump's poll numbers. All across the board they are abysmal. So he can rewrite history and live in his own fantasy world where the GOP humor him, but we aren't that stupid. You could've done better. You could've chosen to uphold your oaths to the Constitution and to represent what the people want by working across the aisle to make our country better, but you chose not to. One day you will look back at your actions and feel shame.
