Stop trying to make voting in Utah more difficult!

To: Sen. Escamilla, Rep. MacPherson, Gov. Cox

From: A constituent in West Valley City, UT

February 20

No law should limit or hamper the People’s ability to elect their representatives. Our nation was founded on The People electing the individuals to represent them in the legislature. Yet again the Utah legislature continues their efforts to make VOTING more and more difficult. I am writing to you today to reject any legislation that would limit voting by mail. These bills are nothing about security and are everything about the Republicans fearing that they will lose their power in the Legislature. They have done everything to make the playing field unequal, including outlandish gerrymandering, and now working to make casting a vote, the most basic right of American Freedom more difficult! Perhaps an easier way to maintain their power base is to start working to address the real problems and issues that Utah citizens face! Do your job and do the heavy lifting needed to make the lives of Utahans more enriched instead of wasting time on promoting bills designed to take away freedoms and the VOTE! House bills 300 and 332 do nothing but discourage voters from making their voice heard and as your constituent I am asking that you do nothing to advance these or any other similar bills forward to become law.
