Demand robust protection for America's public lands and forests

To: Sen. Warner, Sen. Kaine, Rep. Subramanyam

From: A verified voter in Leesburg, VA

April 5

The Trump Administration's reckless assault on our nation's public forests and protected lands is egregious and must be halted immediately. Our public lands are national treasures that belong to all Americans, providing vital ecosystems, recreational opportunities, and natural resources that must be preserved for current and future generations. Undermining longstanding environmental protections and opening these pristine areas to unchecked exploitation by private interests is short-sighted and destructive. As citizens, we have a responsibility to be stewards of our public lands and demand that sweeping conservation measures be reinstated to safeguard these invaluable natural resources from further degradation. The irreversible damage being inflicted on our forests and wild spaces is unacceptable, and we implore decisive action to reverse course and prioritize robust environmental protections for all public lands across the United States.
