An Open Letter

I’m writing because I need to understand what in the world is happening inside this government. Reports are circulating that President Trump wants to put his own face on a $250 bill. I’m asking you directly: what the actual hell is going on. You served this country. You wore a badge. You know exactly what it looks like when a leader starts treating public institutions like personal property. Currency is not a campaign poster. It’s not a loyalty test. It’s not a branding opportunity for a man who already treats the federal government like an extension of his own ego. If this is real, it’s an embarrassment. If it’s a trial balloon, it’s worse. And if Congress—especially members like you who claim to stand for constitutional limits—is just going to shrug and let this slide, then I want to hear you say that plainly. I’m asking you, as your constituent: Do you support or oppose the President putting his own face on U.S. currency. No dodging. No talking points. No “looking into it.” A simple answer. Because from where I sit, this looks like yet another step toward normalizing the idea that one man is above the institutions he’s supposed to serve. And if you’re not willing to push back on something this blatantly self‑serving, then what exactly are you willing to push back on. I expect a direct response.
