World War 3 is starting

To: Sen. Scott, Sen. Moody, Rep. Soto

From: A constituent in Kissimmee, FL

April 17

I am writing to you not just as a concerned constituent, but as an alarmed American witnessing what appears to be a slow but deliberate unraveling of our national institutions and democratic framework. Recent whistleblower reports—particularly one circulating widely from Courier Newsroom—suggest that the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has accessed internal federal systems in a way that potentially allowed Russian actors to gain access through stolen or leaked login credentials. While these claims need immediate vetting, they align with broader patterns of concern: the infiltration of critical systems, mass firings within agencies like the Social Security Administration, and a total disregard for transparency and due process. It is not irrational to fear that we may be witnessing the early stages of a new kind of war—one that doesn’t start with bombs, but with cyber infiltration, disinformation, institutional sabotage, and the erosion of public trust. These are not theoretical threats. They are playing out in real time. Pair this with former President Trump’s long-documented history of Russian sympathies, election interference findings, and recent steps to dismantle and destabilize key agencies—and you begin to see a deeply troubling pattern. This is not about partisanship; this is about the deliberate weakening of our country from within. Why has Congress not issued public statements addressing these whistleblower claims? Are cybersecurity protocols being independently reviewed for all DOGE-related actions? Why is an acting commissioner allowed to boast about mass firings during a national crisis, and under directives that seem more political than administrative? And most importantly—when will Congress act to confront what may be coordinated attempts to destroy our institutions under the guise of reform? We are watching trusted government institutions—particularly SSA—be gutted with no clear plan for continuity, no protection for employees, and no public justification beyond vague “efficiency” goals. This makes the country more vulnerable, not stronger. I urge you to take this seriously. Investigate. Hold hearings. Speak out. The American people deserve leaders who can recognize the signs of foreign manipulation and internal sabotage—and who will act before irreversible damage is done.
