I am writing to you as a concerned citizen regarding the threat against the education of our country's children. The impending executive order proposed by the current administration to abolish the Department of Education is a direct threat to the future of this coun try and the livelihood of many. Without the Department of Education, schools and teachers and students throughout the country will be left in limbo with no funding and no help. The attack on information and intellectualism in this country is dangerous. I hope that you will speak out against this blatant overstep of power, and make the future of our country through education and learning a priority. The only way to overcome tyranny such as this is to keep the country growing, learning, and seeking enrichment.
