The courts have done what you would not
To: Rep. Baumgartner

Sir- you may wonder why I haven’t written as often as was my want at the beginning of your tenure and the disaster that is this administration. It was your letter of March 6th regarding the Kennedy center. I realized if you were unwilling to take a stand against something SO SMALL as the illegal, disrespectful renaming of the Kennedy center- what hope could there be that you would stand up for things of greater ethical, moral, and national importance. I truly hoped that as a professing Catholic who had obviously taken steps to experience and live out the merciful faith preached by your church, that you would have taken SOME stand against the blatant corruption, cruelty, disrespect, unprofessionalism, denigrating behavior which every day bankrupts our nation globally, nationally, and financially.
Today the courts have done what you would not and ruled Trump’s vanity project illegal. At the expense of lawsuits and time- a matter that you felt needed no clarity has been ruled illegal.
Sir- if you can’t act when little things happen that are wrong and illegal- how can I trust you to record the big wrongs of our nation.
I still pray psalm 15 for you- that you would-even to your ill- stand up for righteousness.
While you may look
At recent primaries as evidence that speaking up will loose you your job- maybe you should look to your higher authority and remember that it is better to lose your job than your soul.
