Please oppose federal efforts to loosen conceal to carry restrictions

Dear Senator,
As a North Carolina constituent, I urge you to oppose any federal legislation or mandate that would weaken or override our state’s concealed carry laws.
Our state’s current permitting and training requirements help keep North Carolinians safe while respecting responsible gun ownership. Federal efforts to impose a “one-size-fits-all” system or mandate national reciprocity would undermine state authority, complicate law enforcement efforts, and increase public safety risks by allowing individuals to carry concealed weapons in North Carolina even if they do not meet our state’s standards.
At a time when communities across the nation are calling for stronger, evidence-based measures to reduce gun violence, loosening concealed carry restrictions would move us in the wrong direction. Please stand with your constituents and prioritize public safety over special interests by rejecting any bill that weakens concealed carry protections.
Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter.
