An Open Letter
To: Rep. Kean
From: A constituent in Bridgewater, NJ
June 29
I strongly oppose giving Trump any more money towards his war in Iran, whether it be by reconciliation or a supplemental bill. The total cost of the war is already estimated to be at least $132 Billion. American taxpayers are bearing the cost— a new report says the average household has spent up to an additional $1,313 as a result. I don’t want one more penny of my money going to Iran, war in Venezuela, or on bombing anyone. I want it to go to Americans who are struggling. Vote no!
I also want the representative to stand up for disability rights and support a resolution to reaffirm the promise of the Olmstead Supreme Court ruling. Millions of Americans depend on those protections to live independently in their communities, and Congress shouldn't allow the Trump administration to reverse nearly three decades of progress.
