Your refusal to do anything useful regarding common sense cannabis regulations is already harming businesses and constituents. I just recieved an email from a reputable cannabis shop/ smoke lounge in Charlotte that they're having to close half their business due to upcoming hemp laws. YOU have the power to stop this. YOU have the power to pass hemp regulations that WON'T close businesses and allow your constituents to KEEP THEIR JOBS. There is plenty of research proving that prohibition (what your backwards ban would absolutely be) is ineffective and harmful. There's research that shows regulations, NOT PROHIBITION, actually reduce the amount of underage usage. If you won't listen to your constituents, listen to the money. If the current looming ban goes into effect in December, BILLIONS of dollars will be lost. Hundreds of THOUSANDS of jobs with be lost. Listen to reason. Do not enact the ban on hemp. Work towards common sense regulations.
