Protect public lands, our shared outdoor heritage

To: Sen. Risch, Rep. Simpson, Sen. Crapo

From: A constituent in Ketchum, ID

April 16

Public lands belong to all Americans and must not be sold off to generate revenue. These treasured outdoor spaces provide invaluable opportunities for recreation, connect us with nature, and are vital for conservation efforts. Treating them as mere assets to be liquidated ignores their immense ecological, cultural, and economic value. I urge you to reject any proposals that would privatize or sell off public lands, which would set a dangerous precedent and deprive future generations of their outdoor heritage. Public lands are a shared resource that should be preserved and protected, not auctioned off. Please take a principled stand against any budget reconciliation measures that would facilitate the sale of these precious lands.
