I am sick of the Trump administration's attempts to influence and disrupt the 2026 midterm elections. These actions are dangerous to our democracy and in direct conflict with our Constitution. Only states have the right to run elections. Trump has no authority to interfere in them, and yet, Republicans are backing his efforts. The administration has attempted to frame these actions as necessary security measures to prevent voter fraud, but we see them for what they are - systemic attempts to restrict ballot access and suppress votes. What methods are being used? - 1. Direct Restrictions on Voting ChannelsRestricting Mail-In Ballots: The administration issued an executive order aimed at limiting mail-in voting. A recent U.S. Supreme Court procedural ruling allowed the administration to proceed with aspects of this restriction, leading critics to argue it will cause "pure chaos" right before ballots are distributed. 2. Postal Service Restrictions: The Postmaster General stated that the U.S. Postal Service would refuse to deliver mail ballots in states that do not hand over their complete voter registration lists. 3.
