Protect Medicaid and Medicare—Vote No on Harmful Cuts
To: Sen. Crapo, Sen. Risch
From: A verified voter in Twin Falls, ID
June 29
I am writing as a concerned constituent to urge you to oppose any legislation—including the so-called “One Big Beautiful Bill”—that threatens to cut funding for Medicaid and Medicare in order to fund tax breaks for the wealthiest Americans.
Millions of people across the country—including children, seniors, people with disabilities, and low-income families—depend on these essential programs to access life-saving medical care. Slashing these lifelines to provide financial advantages to those already thriving is not only economically short-sighted but also deeply immoral.
We have a moral obligation to care for our most vulnerable neighbors. Stripping away critical healthcare support to widen the wealth gap runs counter to the values of justice, compassion, and responsibility that should guide our democracy.
I urge you to reject any version of this legislation that compromises healthcare access for the many to benefit the few. Instead, please support legislation that strengthens our social safety nets and promotes economic policies that uplift all Americans.
Thank you for your time, and for your commitment to representing the people of Idaho.
