Thank you for speaking up against Trump’s ‘climate of fear’. I am heartened to see you, my senator, being pointed and vocal in your criticisms. I know the Trump administration is turning their propaganda machine on you, and know it must be challenging for you, your staff and your family, and I’m so sorry. I also know that you being their target means they are threatened by you. You are doing what every elected official should be doing right now, speaking up against tyranny and actions that will hurt your constituents. If your colleagues were also speaking out as you are, there would be too many targets for the Trump disinformation campaign to hit effectively. You and your colleagues need to take a page out of the Big 10 now banding together - recognizing that an attack on one is an attack on all. Please KEEP GOING. Please recruit your colleagues. Take collective and decisive action. Work with democratic governors and members of congress to coordinate. You are on the right side of history and I appreciate what you and your staff are doing. Thank you.
