President Donald Trump's administration is reportedly spending millions to cover four bronze horse statues near the Lincoln Memorial in a thick layer of gold leaf. The project and its $5 million price tag were first reported by NOTUS on Friday, May 29. This is a totally unnecessary, beautification project. Americans are struggling to afford gas and groceries. There is also a lack of access to affordable housing and health care. This administration has a Republican President, and a majority in the House and Senate. Instead of fixing problems for the everyday people of our country, this administration is wasting our monetary resources so that Trump takes on ridiculous vanity projects. This is appalling and tone deaf, and the Republican party owns this disaster.
