I am writing to express my extreme disappointment in your vote to pass the "Big Beautiful Bill". This bill will hurt those who most need assistance, while funneling money up to people who already own too much. You have proven once again that you would rather represent big money donors than your rural constituents. You cannot even pretend to be a fiscal conservative anymore, as this bill also increases the projected national debt by trillions. I would love to know how you can even pretend to justify your vote. My hope is that this fails upon its return to the house; should it come back to the Senate later, I urge you to withhold support unless sweeping changes are made to protect health coverage and SNAP for those in need. You should also insist upon less funding for ICE - the amount provisioned for it is ridiculously high.
