Vote against HR 1 when the Senate version comes back to the House. You are not in Congress to push the administration’s agenda. You are there to do your constitutional duty to represent us in your district (which you barely won) and serve as a check on the other two branches of government (administrative and judicial). Our district would suffer significant job loss and higher costs if this budget passes. Remove all cuts to Medicaid - we need all those federal dollars coming back into our state. Remove items that increase air pollution because we need tourism dollars in Florida. And remove the obscene funding for ICE. It’s despicable to have a government agency arresting people (or kidnapping - we can’t tell with the people not in uniform and with faces covered) who are US citizens because of the color of their skin. Don’t be racist. Do your job. Have you polled your constituents to ask us what we want you to do on this bill? You should. And here’s my answer - read this message again. From a concerned constituent, a patriotic American, a doctor, a mother.
