Dear Senator Kelly, I appreciate your longstanding support for the rule of law and the independence of the Department of Justice. I urge you to vote against confirming Todd Blanche as Attorney General. The Attorney General must serve the Constitution and the American people, not the president. Mr. Blanche’s actions as Deputy Attorney General have raised serious concerns about political interference, disregard for congressional oversight, and a willingness to place loyalty above the impartial administration of justice. At a time when public confidence in our institutions is fragile, confirming him would only deepen that mistrust. Arizona deserves a Justice Department that is independent, credible, and accountable. I respectfully ask you to vote no on Todd Blanche’s confirmation. Thank you for your service to Arizona and our country.
