Protect Judicial Independence, Oppose NORRA Overreach Bill

The NORRA of 2025 proposes to severely restrict the ability of federal district courts to issue nationwide injunctions, limiting their injunctive relief to only the parties directly involved in a case. This would undermine the judiciary's crucial role in providing checks and balances on executive overreach and protecting the rights of all citizens. I urge opposition to this bill, as it would effectively prevent federal courts from fulfilling their duty to uphold the Constitution and safeguard the rule of law. Stripping courts of their equitable powers poses a threat to our system of government and jeopardizes the civil liberties enshrined in the Bill of Rights. We must preserve the independence of the judicial branch and its authority to curtail unlawful actions by the government that harm the American people. Defending this vital separation of powers is essential for maintaining our democratic principles.
