In reply to your short, dismissive reply to my asking you to investigate the alleged misconduct of Joni Ernst having a personal relationship and providing favors (pun intended) to a lobbyist. You wrote it off showing no concern to the allegation and said that ProPublica was not a reliable source. I'd like to remind you of the times that the popular tabloid that writes about alien abductions, National Inquirer, has also reported things that were in fact very true. John Edwards affair – Revealed his secret affair and love child during his presidential run. Donald Trump “catch and kill” – Paid Karen McDougal to suppress her affair story before the 2016 election. Jesse Jackson love child – Exposed he fathered a child outside of marriage; later confirmed. Rush Limbaugh drug addiction – Reported his OxyContin abuse before he publicly admitted it. Tiger Woods affairs – Uncovered first affair, sparking a massive scandal. Bob Dole affair – Revealed a long-term extramarital relationship; later confirmed by other outlets. You are an embarrassment to Iowa and the United States every single time you claim that something does not need to be investigated because the news source is unreliable. Be responsible and do your job. I again implore you to investigate Joni Ernst.
