Happy Pride Month, Governor

To: Gov. Braun

From: A constituent in Crown Point, IN

June 4

Dear Gov. Braun, I am just writing to wish you a very happy pride month. I think it is important that you understand what this month is about. The LQBTQIA+ community has been oppressed and marginalized for centuries. People have had to suffer with the fact that they can never be who they are on the inside because leaders have made it impossible for them to find equality. The month of June is meant to help everyone celebrate and understand the LGBTQIA+ community. And it is meant to reiterate the fact that everyone deserves to be who they are. And by the way, nuclear families are celebrated every day. Let the LGBTQIA+ community be celebrated just for one singular month. It is not that hard to accept them. They're people just like you and me. They are fellow humans that, as I said before, have been oppressed for centuries. Do you want the people in your state that you swore to protect to suffer? Think about it.
