As your constituent, I am urging you to oppose H.R. 1, the House-passed budget reconciliation bill, and its harmful cuts to vital clean energy and climate programs. Specifically, I am very concerned about: - the gutting of crucial programs that protect our communities from air pollution, extreme weather, and other environmental risks, and - the selling off of our public lands and water in order to expand drilling and mining. Congress should pass a fair and responsible budget that helps working families and communities, not one that slashes our benefits to fund tax cuts for the wealthy.
