Vote No on Redistricting

To: Sen. Raatz

From: A verified voter in Richmond, IN

December 8

It’s disappointing to read you will be voting for redistricting the maps. Your arguments in favor don’t hold water. According to quality of life metrics the worst states are ones who have more representation from republicans than democrats. Indiana is one of those states. Seeing as this country is being led by republicans for the next year how do you see us living a better life? All we have been shown is that we pay more in taxes for less services. Everything is getting more expensive unless you are super wealthy. All of the extra money we pay in taxes are going to pay for the tax cuts for the rich. I see the irony in you quoting John Adam’s because your reason for redistricting is immoral. This whole thing was started by the republicans in Texas at the behest of the President. You are part of making the constitution inadequate. It’s funny that most of the money going from the states to the federal government comes from democratic led states. And most of the funding from the federal government to the states goes to republican controlled states. It seems like your conservative values center around taking from the poor and giving to the wealthy. Maybe you should actually do a little remapping of your own morals first. Do better.
