An Open Letter
To: Rep. Hurd
From: A constituent in Montrose, CO
November 3
Dear Representative Hurd,
I voted in Montrose.
I want you to know that I appreciate the work you have done for Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District, and I have voted for you in the past. However, this time I chose not to. My vote was essentially a vote against the Republican Party and its failure to do its job, provide meaningful oversight, and hold this administration accountable.
Quite frankly, I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired. I’m tired of the corruption, the wars, high fuel prices, inflation, the lack of attention to rural healthcare, ICE brutality, and the administration’s continued bullying, and disregard for Colorado.
I believe a change in House leadership is desperately needed. Our country needs representatives willing to put their responsibility to the American people ahead of party loyalty.
If you win, I sincerely hope you will consider switching parties. At this point, I believe putting country ahead of party is more important than ever.
I appreciate your past service, but I also believe it is time for a change in direction.
