Vote No on the CLARITY Act — It Enables Corruption and Harms Ordinary Americans
To: Rep. Moore, Sen. Curtis, Sen. Lee
From: A verified voter in Logan, UT
July 9
Vote no on the CLARITY Act. This bill is a gift to crypto insiders and a betrayal of every ordinary American who has watched this industry destroy savings, destabilize community banks, and drain pension funds. Any crypto legislation that fails to explicitly prohibit elected officials, the president, and their families from profiting off digital assets while in office is not regulation — it's legalized corruption.
The crypto industry has spent years lying to ordinary people about what these assets actually are. The collapses, the fraud, the reckless speculation — none of it happened by accident. It happened because powerful people looked the other way while cashing in. Passing a bill without strict conflict-of-interest prohibitions, meaningful environmental accountability for energy-intensive transactions, and real oversight mechanisms just locks that system into law. Community banks compete under rules crypto wants to avoid entirely.
This is not a partisan issue. Supporting the CLARITY Act as written means choosing the crypto lobby over constituents. Vote no, and demand any replacement bill include explicit bans on officeholder crypto profits before it moves another inch forward.
