It has been beyond disappointing to see how the legislative bodies of our government have responded to their first trans colleague. Dog whistles, bigotry, and outright contempt have been the order of the day rather than welcome. Now, Rep. Mace is going further and trying to attack ALL trans people who come to the nation's capital. I urge you to repudiate this baseless fear-mongering and abject prejudice. Trans people are not monster, bogeymen, or a threat to anyone. They are our neighbors and family. It's despicable to me that they're being turned into a political weapon in Washington. This should not be acceptable and I urge you to condemn it loudly and put this matter to rest. Don't just vote against Rep. Mace's bill -- condemn it. Thank you.
