I'm writing to ask that you start to prepare the state to support people who would be affected by the Republican SAVE act. This means the state would help people obtain the forms they needs, support getting birth certificates and passports if necessary, create a fund for people who cannot afford to complete these steps independently. This act, if passed, which would create unnecessary barriers to voter registration and disenfranchise countless voters, especially women, seniors, military, and low-income citizens. The bill is designed to block voters despite no evidence of widespread fraud. I also ask that you launch an investigation into the 2024 election using some of the evidence from the Election Truth Alliance to determine if there needs to be any other changes to ensure safe, equitable, access to elections for midterms.
