As your constituent, I encourage you to use every ounce of authority you have in Congress to overturn Citizens United. We can clearly track the negative impact of Citizens United on our politics. Allowing mega donors and dark money into our democracy has eroded public trust, accountability, and seems to have ground our legislature to a halt. It seems that now, very little is actually done by Congress other than performances to rile up voters. Real solutions are few and far between. And I think that’s got a lot to do with the fact that many politicians are too afraid or unwilling to go against their sponsors’ wishes. The MAGA movement has only capitalized on the opportunities afforded to them with Citizens United, and grown into the monster it is as it was fed by contributions. Please overturn this awful legislation immediately.
