Support Amendment to Defense Appropriations Bill: No War on Greenland

Please support Senator Ruben Gallego’s amendment to the Senate Defense Appropriations Bill prohibiting the use of funds for military force or other hostilities against Greenland. The current president has made it clear that he does not believe he needs Congressional authorization, consent, or foreknowledge to deploy military force against sovereign nations around the world. And he has told our country and the international community that he sees military force as a viable option for obtaining Greenland, an objective he has been unwavering in asserting. Congress alone retains the authority over appropriations. Any military action against Greenland, a NATO ally, would be disastrous for the United States and for the world. Support Senator Gallego’s amendment to preserve peace.
