I want the Senator to support the Taxing Buybacks from Big Oil Windfalls Act, which was just introduced this week. It increases the stock buyback tax to 25% on large oil & gas companies, which is only fair while Americans are struggling under Trump’s spike in gas prices. The higher buyback tax rate would be in place until gas prices consistently return to pre-war prices. Second, I strongly oppose H.R. 2616, the "Stopping Indoctrination and Protecting Kids Act,” which Republicans just passed in the House with the help of a handful of Democrats. I want to be clear: targeting the transgender community with vicious and hateful legislation is intolerable and unacceptable. I stand with trans people. Any lawmaker who doesn’t will lose my support permanently. I will be watching this vote closely. Thank you.
