As your constituent, I strongly urge you to support H.R. 7119 to require creating a policy on the use of force and deescalation by ICE officers. The vast majority of Americans do NOT approve of the way that ICE officers are being used as secret police with no accountability. We are ALL immigrants to this country- even the Native Americans’ ancestors came from Asia thousands of years ago. Empathy and compassion are not weaknesses: they are the qualities of true strength. There are humane and lawful ways of handling immigration that do not require violence. You must quit this MAGA cult and seize this chance to stand up for morality and justice. History will reward you if you do.
