ICE and Border Patrol under the Trump regime are reckless and lawless. They are invading cities, attacking immigrants, illegally capturing citizens, and, in the case of Renee Good and others, killing them. The Federal government under Trump is not making us safer. ICE and Border Patrol are invading cities and harming citizens and immigrant communities. Chaos and violence are all they bring. Our last defense is using the state to assert laws and demands against the rogue Federal government. My demands: Introduce legislation to join inter-state compacts with states like California and Illinois to build parallel institutions to the corrupt ones at the federal level. Use our state laws to protect us from ICE and fight back. Prosecute ICE agents who break laws. Create anti-masking legislation like California.
