Block the import of Russian diesel and make clear that Congress will not allow this administration to fund Russia's war machine. Sen. John Curtis said it plainly after visiting Ukraine's front lines: every dollar spent on Russian fuel goes straight to drones and soldiers killing Ukrainians. That is a line too far, and Congress has the power to hold it. Curtis also raised a legitimate question about whether the president even has the authority to make this decision unilaterally. He said the will of both chambers is against it. If that's true, it's time to act like it. Statements to the press are not enough. A vote, a resolution, a legislative block, something on the record is what this moment requires. I've heard the right words. Now I need to see the right votes.
