You couldn’t make this up if you tried. Hegseth has repeatedly held a christian prayer service at each Pentagon briefing of the Iran war. We can put aside the very necessary separation of church and state and the fact our military service members observe a wide variety of religions for the moment. This idiot has the balls to evoke the speech made by Samuel L. Jackson in the hit movie Pulp Fiction! I guess he thought nobody would recognize the plagiarism. By the way, Jackson did a much better job. Putting aside the levity, the bible thumping God is on our side while we bomb and kill people in other countries is extremely disturbing. Everyone understands good versus evil and there is plenty of evil within the leadership of Iran, but God preaches peace not war. Jesus didn’t walk amongst us slaying people as he wrote the bible. Thinking otherwise is a very sick, twisted understanding if religion. Any religion. This of course comes from the top down. Trump issuing images of him as Jesus. Calling it blasphemy doesn’t begin to do it justice. This is straight-on mental illness and EXACTLY the reason why our founding fathers created a clear separation of church and state and the dangers it represents. The politicalization of religion is the bedrock of the very MiddleEast countries we are waring against!!! We have all learned to expect this behavior from Trump and his clown car cabinet but Congress is another matter entirely. It is called a system of checks and balances for a reason and each of you have an obligation and responsibility to speak loudly opposing this nonsense. Otherwise, take a seat in the clown car and suffer the consequenses.
