I’m writing as a deeply concerned Utahn and American to urge you to oppose any proposal — including within the so-called “Big Beautiful Bill” — that would result in the sale, privatization, or giveaway of our public lands in Utah.
Our public lands are not political bargaining chips. They are some of the most beautiful, ecologically important, and culturally sacred places in the country. These lands are part of our identity and our heritage — and they belong to all of us, not to private developers or out-of-state corporations.
Once these lands are sold, they’re gone forever. The public loses access. Wildlife loses habitat. And Utah loses what makes it truly unique.
You’ve long claimed to defend freedom and individual rights. Well, the freedom to hike, camp, fish, hunt, and roam our public lands is one of the most cherished rights we have in the West. Don’t take that away from us.
This land is our land. Not yours to sell.
Please do the right thing: stand up for Utahns, not land speculators. Oppose any bill that includes the sale of our public lands.
