Vote no on FISA reauthorization until the data broker loophole is closed. The government should not be allowed to bypass the Fourth Amendment by purchasing surveillance data on American citizens from data brokers. Right now, federal agencies are using taxpayer money to buy our personal data and feed it into AI surveillance systems. This is our own money being used to spy on us without a warrant. The FBI wants to use AI to analyze this data, creating a surveillance apparatus that would have been unthinkable a decade ago. If FISA passes without fixing this loophole, we're authorizing mass AI-powered surveillance of Americans. The Fourth Amendment exists for a reason. The government cannot be allowed to buy its way around constitutional protections just because the technology has changed. Close the data broker loophole before reauthorizing FISA, or vote no.
