Putin’s Take Over I hope that yesterday’s utterly disgraceful, disturbing, and dishonorable “good television” orchestrated hostile meeting with (now former ally) President Zelenskyy and the current US president AND Vice President (why was he even speaking?) complete with Russian state media and Putin talking points shed a floodlight on the end game for you. In just a few moments, this administration announced to the world that Putin is in charge here. I urge you to align yourself with US democracy and put a stop to this insanity now, using every means necessary and available to you. I am sure you are aware that the vast majority of US citizens (greater than 80%) do not approve of Putin, Russian control, or losing our democracy. It was a grave miscalculation that the world would follow the US’s move toward a dictatorship. Rather, that move created a void which NATO nations will fill and the US will become a “shit hole country,” (Trump’s own words) leaving us isolated, vulnerable, and to quote Vance, “bereft of friends.” Be a true patriot not a puppet. Stand up for US Democracy, the rule of law, and the people you represent. Demonstrate that it truly is your honor to be a public servant.
