Vote NO on H.J. Res. 140. Please do what you can to prevent this administration from destroying America’s most visited wilderness. H.J. Res. 140 would wipe out the 20-year mining ban protecting the Boundary Waters watershed in Minnesota. 225,000 acres of Superior National Forest. 1,100 lakes. The most visited wilderness in the country. This is being done through the Congressional Review Act a legislative shortcut that only needs a simple majority. No filibuster. The company that wants to mine there is Chilean-owned Twin Metals, which plans to ship the ore to China. This isn’t “America First.” This is selling out American public lands to foreign interests permanently. Vote NO on H.J. Res. 140.
