The Clarity Act needs a divestiture requirement, and I want you to fight to include one. Without a forced sale provision, the bill is a regulatory framework with no teeth — it sets rules for a platform that a foreign adversary still owns. That's not clarity. That's a loophole. ByteDance's ownership of TikTok is the core problem. Any legislation that doesn't directly address that ownership leaves hundreds of millions of Americans' data and attention in the hands of a company ultimately answerable to the Chinese Communist Party. Labeling or disclosure rules don't fix that. Divestiture does. Push for it to be written into the bill before it moves forward.
