State Senator Brian Chavez wants to ship gas and oil waste brine via rail and barge on the Ohio River to his Marietta facility. He owns Deeprock Disposal, a brine water disposal company in Marietta. Oil and gas brine water is radioactive, which, if spilled, could contaminate the Ohio River and downstream' cities drinking water.
