Vote No on Big Beautiful Bill

To: Sen. Curtis, Sen. Lee

From: A constituent in Salt Lake City, UT

June 29, 2025

The Republican-proposed "One Big Beautiful Bill" is deeply concerning and undermines the job prospects of workers represented by North America's Building Trades Unions (NABTU). This reconciliation bill eliminates hundreds of thousands of energy jobs held by NABTU members and includes other troubling provisions. Protecting meaningful job opportunities for blue-collar Americans should be a top priority, but instead this bill cuts their jobs to pay for tax cuts benefiting the wealthy. For the sake of workers and their families, this bill cannot be supported as currently written. NABTU urges Congress to revise the bill before it moves forward to prevent devastating job losses in the construction and energy sectors. Workers' voices and economic security must take precedence over tax breaks for the ultra-rich and corporations.
