The Associated Preas reported that today is the hottest day ever recorded on Earth, beating the prior day’s record. As far as we know, it has never been hotter than today anytime over the past 120,000 years. Mankind has had ample opportunity to come together and fight for a cause that impacts us all. The issue has been prominent for at least 20 years. Theoretically, the issue of global warming and climate change is something all people can unite behind and fight. Unfortunately, Republicans and their leader Donald Trump, have ignored the science, politicized a common-ground issue, and catered to special interests regarding climate change. This amoral and cynical political approach is not limited to climate change, but it may be the most prominent and lasting example. Today, on the hottest day ever recorded on Earth, we have two politicians and two political parties with opposite records and beliefs regarding climate change. If elected, Kamala Harris and Democrats will continue delivering for Americans and mankind, continuing the vision executed by President Biden. Donald Trump will continue to allow our country and the world to burn to the ground.
