Please vote YES on SB 1004 to Unmask Law Enforcement in California. ICE in California has created an environment of profound terror. They cannot and should not be allowed to behave like secret police in an authoritarian state. They need to be unmasked, and all peace officers should as well so they can be easily identified as official actors. In the words of U.S. District Judge Snyder, "the presence of masked and unidentifiable individuals, including law enforcement, is more likely to heighten the sense of insecurity for all." Please support the quick passage of this legislation and vote YES.
