Within the past 30 days, my retirement account lost $15,000.
With these stagnant wages and this much state-sponsored corporate greed …
by the time i hit “retirement”, and considering inflation, maybe that $15,000 could have paid for one week’s groceries, or maybe some clean drinking water if the surveillance centers had extra that month.
Gee, sure coulda been nice to keep that $15,000, but hey - im sure there’s a silver lining .. because the whole thing with Israel that started in 2026 was really an investment in our country’s future, so I probably won’t even notice that money was lost.
Honestly, as a millennial, I never really had high hopes for “retirement” anyway… but these days i’m downshifting “hope” to “expectation”.
