I am having a hard time understanding our sudden rapprochement with Russia and Putin. For the last several decades our foreign policy has been directed at containing Russia and in particular Putin who took Russia off the path to democracy as fragile as it was back to an authoritarian state. Throwing Ukraine to the curb and now rolling back cyber defense preparedness again Russia who are known to have attacked our systems boggles the mind. If this had been perpetrated by a democrat, impeachment would be well under way, but instead, at least publicly, there has been barely a whimper about this treasonous capitulation from the GOP. I wonder how long it will be before the MAGA faithful start sporting hammer and sickle tattoos and tee shirts? I will have to laugh if the sanctions are lifted and Russian oil and gas returns to the world markets driving down prices and shuttering the US shale oil and gas industry, but hey, at least gas prices will fall right along with our reputation in the world community. It is time for you to stand against this insider assault on our country and way of life.
