The Fifth Circuit erred. There are better ways to protect children.

To: Justices Court

I'm writing to ask you to rule against the Fifth Circuit and in favor of strict scrutiny for age verification laws. Australia's age verification law was tried by its public officials and it caused more problems for them than they cared to admit upon helping to pass it. Age verification vendors are in full support of these flawed laws and in states where they have been implemented, there have been increases in incidents of hacking, scamming, exploitation, identity theft, and grooming, not to mention sexual abuse. Even law enforcement officials have advised that people use device-based parental controls to protect their children rather than the mandatory age verification imposed by states. Easy-to-use and install apps can help to protect children from sexual content and can curate their experience online safely. I use such apps in my home, and they save me a lot of heartache. Not all parents have the same luxury to learn how to effectively use these apps and that is understandable. Which is why it's important to discover what works best by looking for supportive parent communities who have good recommendations depending on what you're looking for. Strict scrutiny would prevent bad actors in the age verification industry from stealing sensitive information and exploiting it while doing nothing to protect children. The Fifth Circuit erred greatly.
